| Marriage Commissioner Marlene Bedford – Personalized Alberta Wedding Ceremonies.
 I am a Calgary Marriage Commissioner appointed by the Province of Alberta to perform wedding ceremonies in Calgary
and area. In the past 14 years it has been my honour to perform thousands of ceremonies in many different locations. I
have been blessed to meet the most wonderful people on their most important day in some of the most interesting,
beautiful and adventurous places in the province. These Alberta weddings have been as varied as the brides and grooms
themselves. Many smaller weddings take place in the privacy of my intimate living room (with its lovely oak
staircase for the bride to make a grand entrance). Summer weddings often see couples exchanging their marriage vows in
my small private garden.
I enjoy working with you to design an original ceremony with personalized vows that incorporate family, religious and ethnic traditions, children, and vow renewal ceremonies. Many options - Readings, Candle and Rose Ceremonies, and Wine Cup Ceremonies - to name a few. I will present you with a beautifully scripted certificate at the conclusion of your wedding service and a souvenir booklet that contains your vows. I have hundreds of testimonials and photographs on file as references.
Weddings are about real people getting together with family and friends to celebrate a relationship between two people. You can celebrate that relationship even if some things do not go as expected. What matters is the love you have for each other. The memories will be about that, not about the details. Working them out can be fun, but don't let them take control. If you remember that the goal is to celebrate your love and commitment - you will have a wonderful wedding.
